We concluded our series on the life of Abraham with one of the most dramatic and intense stories in scripture. Abraham was told by God to journey with his son Isaac, and then offer Isaac as a sacrifice to God. Incredibly, Abraham didn't question God or look for another wait out. He went in surrendered faith to God. As he was ready to sacrifice Isaac, and angel appeared to Abraham and told him to not harm the boy. Then, a ram was found nearby for Abraham and Isaac to offer as a sacrifice to God.

Pastor Geoff encouraged all of us to walk in surrendered faith. Surrender doesn't mean giving up, but giving way to God's guidance and God's way for us to go. We have to walk in surrendered faith when faith doesn't make sense, when we could find another way to go, and even when faith hurts. Through all of that, we walk in surrendered faith in God, because in the end God always come through.
