While Jesus was on the mountain top during His transfiguration, a man brought his son to some of the disciples to be healed. The man's son was possessed by a demon who would cause the boy to violently convulse and had been torturing the boy for a number of years. The disciples tried and tried but were unable to cast out this demon. When Jesus came down from the mountain and heard what happened He was frustrated because the disciples tried to cast out this demon without prayer. The disciples inability to cast out this demon led the boy's father to doubt what Jesus could do. The father asked Jesus to help him overcome that doubt, and Jesus cast out the demon.

Pastor Geoff encouraged us to always be in prayer and to always be connected to God. That will help us overcome any doubt we face, and will prepare for us for when the devil tries to knock us off of our own spiritual mountain. To work smarter, we need to pray harder.
