We wrapped up Mark chapter 10 and are getting ready to hear about Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. However, before we get there, there is a story of Jesus healing a blind man named Bartimaeus. Jesus was on the road, getting very close to Jerusalem, but He stopped and healed Bartimaeus when he called to Jesus. After being healed Bartimaeus jumped up and followed Jesus on the road. Pastor Geoff reminded us that we need to see those like Bartimaeus in our own lives, but also realize when we are in a situation like Bartimaeus where something is keeping us on the roadside on not on the road with Jesus. We should always call out to Jesus and respond to His call and be on the road with Him.
