Pastor Geoff kept going in Mark by talking about Jesus teaching in the synagogue. It was in this story that Jesus cast out an impure spirit that was living inside of a man in the synagogue. Throughout this whole passage we saw Jesus demonstrate His true authority. The word "authority" may bring up a lot of different thoughts and feelings for each of us. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to see Jesus' authority as something to be accepted and respected because of how He teaches, how He has authority over impurity, and how His authority is about progress not popularity.
