In the closing sections of Mark 12, Jesus addresses two different ways of living. When it comes to how the scribes lived their lives, Jesus taught that it was the wrong way to live because the scribes lacked humility and took advantage of people. On the other side, Jesus watched a poor widow put the only two coins she had into the temple offering. Jesus said this woman is living rightly, because she gave sacrificially and gave from her heart. Jesus lived a sacrificial life and had a humble heart just like the poor widow. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to see that Jesus lived sacrificially and that we should model our lives after Him in that way.
