God has a design for His people and His church. When something breaks down that design, or distorts that image, God's people and church need to be restored. In Nehemiah 5 we heard about the restoration of the people. Different policies that were in place were causing undue harm and stress to the people so Nehemiah stepped in and made changes to restore the people of Jerusalem and the systems that were in place. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to look at how we play a role in how God works out restoration as well. Restoration takes awareness, raising awareness, humility, integrity, generosity, and sacrifice. When all of those elements come together we can play role in how God works out His restoration.
