In the opening section of Mark 14 we hear the story of a woman anointing Jesus with perfume. However, this wasn't just a normal occurrence. The woman brought an alabaster jar filled with very rare and valuable perfume. She proceeded to break the jar and pour the perfume over the head of Jesus. While the disciples around Jesus found this to be a waste of valuable perfume, Jesus described it as a beautiful act of worship. It was an act that He was truly worthy of.

Pastor Geoff asked us to think about what our alabaster jar of perfume might be. What do we value at a very high level? Then, worship God with that, and worship God with abandon. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to not worry about what others might say or think, and to bring God what has value to us, because God values us as well.
