Today we heard about Jesus once again flipping the cultural norms upside down by welcoming children right into His presence and embracing them. In Jesus' day, children had no status and were not looked upon highly in society. Jesus taught the disciples that followers of Him need to receive the Kingdom of God just like little children. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to remember that we can't earn the Kingdom of God. What we can, and need to do, is receive the Kingdom like a gift, and continually have a sense of awe and wonder about the Kingdom of Heaven and God Himself.
