Today we heard the story of Jesus being a trial before the Sanhedrin. It is in this passage, and during this trial, that Jesus confirms He is the Messiah by saying "I Am." The trial didn't show what Jesus had done, but who He truly was. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to remember that Jesus is, who He has always been. Jesus still is the new temple in which we receive forgiveness, get close to God, and can be united as a community. Jesus is also the suffering servant, who is familiar with our suffering, and never leaves alone while we're in pain.
