Jesus was called out by the Pharisees because His disciples weren't fasting. In response, Jesus gave examples of a wedding, a new piece of cloth, and new wineskins to show why His disciples didn't need to fast right now. It all boiled down to the fact that Jesus had come, and everything was different. Jesus ushered in a new way of doing things, a new way of living, and it didn't mix with the old way. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to see Jesus' new thing in our lives. It may not always be a massive new thing, but when it comes from God, we should always make Jesus' new thing, our new thing.
