Pastor Geoff opened our new series on Philippians. After a little background on the church and the letter itself Pastor Geoff said that the main theme he gets from this letter is joy. Paul uses the words joy and rejoice frequently in this letter and in chapter one he talks about taking joy in partnering in sharing the gospel, taking joy in Christ being preached, and taking joy in the fact that what is coming next is always Jesus. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to always choose Jesus and by choosing Jesus we're choosing joy.
