At the end of Mark 9, the disciples come across a man who is casting out demons in the name of Jesus. They told this man to stop what he was doing because he wasn't one of the 12 disciples that Jesus had called. Jesus told them to not stop this man because whoever is not against them was for them. Pastor Geoff used this passage to show us that as a Christian communities, churches, and ministries, we are not in competition with each other and we shouldn't exclude each other from doing ministry in any way. Instead we need to be focused on collaborating and celebrating with each other, while staying "salty" and preserving our Christian communities.
