In Mark 8: 22-26 we hear the story of Jesus healing a blind at Bethsaida. In this interaction Jesus took the man by the hand and led him away from the crowds to heal him. Jesus wanted to establish a personal connection with this man. During their interaction the blind was healed, but his healing came gradually. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to see gradual growth in Christ as long lasting growth in Christ. We have to see where we may have a blind spot to God, but then allow God to take us by the hand and restore our sight through a personal connection with Him. This may come gradually and take place over time, but it's the type of healing and growth that lasts.
