In the closing section of Mark 11, Jesus' authority was questioned by the Sanhedrin. They wanted to know by what authority Jesus was clearing the temple and casting out demons and healing people. While Jesus refused to respond the Sanhedrin in the moment, we know that Jesus' authority was given to Him by the Father in heaven. Since that is the case we need to accept and surrender to God's authority, act on God's authority, and be aware of any traps that come from acting on God's authority. In the end we believe that God is the authority and God gives authority.
