This week we talked about giving to God with both our finances and ourselves. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to give with open hearts and not clenched fists. What that means is we give, not because we're forced to, but because we want to honor God with what we give. From the stories of Cain and Abel and the Widow's Offering we learned that we should give our first and best and give sacrificially. Then from the teachings of Jesus we heard about being good and faithful servants and that we are to serve before being served.
