We wrapped up Mark 8 by hearing about Jesus explaining how He will be rejected, put to death, and then rise again. In His explanation Jesus implores His followers to stay connected to Him and bear their cross while following Him. Pastor Geoff shared with us that we need to be cautious to not stray from the Jesus way. This can happen when we find ourselves rebuking Jesus, not shouldering our cross, trying to gain the successes of the world, and being ashamed of Jesus. As tempting as it is to stray off course, it's so much better to keep going the Jesus way.
