We opened a new series on the book of Nehemiah. The overarching storyline of this book is the rebuilding of the wall around Jerusalem. Just as the wall needed to be built brick by brick, each week we'll hear about a brick that God uses to build us as followers of Him, and to build His church. This week's brick was burdens, but not burdens of our own, burdens that we feel and carry for others or issues. Pastor Geoff encouraged us to see the burdens inside of us as what God wants to rebuild in and through us. Pastor Geoff asked us to identify the burdens we feel, pray about those burdens, and be ready for what God is going to do with those in our lives and in our church.
