Promises
God’s promises give us a reason to trust Him, even when we can’t see how everything will work out. In 2 Samuel 7:5–17, God makes a promise to David that reaches far beyond his lifetime and ultimately points us to Jesus. Through this promise, we’re reminded to remember God’s faithfulness in the past, rest in His presence in the present, and respond with hope for the future. Life won’t always go according to our plans, but we don’t have to carry every burden or control every outcome. God is good, He is faithful, and through Jesus, we have the promise of eternal life with Him. Remember His faithfulness. Rest in His presence. Respond with hope.
